wednesday 5/1 report

Post by skiadikt »

as we turn the page from april to may, another not so pretty day. from the webcam top to bottom fog at the bell. got out around 11 and it extended down to preston's. when i left just before one, it was starting to lift a bit.

lost a ton of snow. the two lower "slingshots" on the supe HW are done. had to move up to the highest one. the HW was an exercise in braille skiing. supe certainly skied well enough but the fog was not conducive for ripping bumps until preston's. mid o's bumps mellowed down by the weather. really nice. breaks requiring ski arounds have developed. the runout has become a long walkout.

on the subject of ski arounds. upper bitter is pretty well toasted w a couple ribbons and ski arounds. unless they can farm some snow, might not make it through the weekend.

lower lark also has a couple ski arounds. not as bad as bitter but this weekend could be the season for it as well.

upper/middle lark still very good. lower bitter is rather brown at the final steep. the end may be coming faster than we want.
