Re: Political Humor
Go ahead and laugh but this sham trial is an embarrassment to the NY justice system, the DOJ and our country. Also, it will help get Trump elected this November.deadheadskier wrote: ↑Apr 30th, '24, 15:03 Don Snoreleone

Re: Political Humor
This is really the worst part about the case. But the truth is that Trump paid hush money to a porn star so she would stay quiet about their affair, then he falsified business records to try to hide the fact. Are these high crimes and misdemeanors? No, and they probably shouldn't be the subject of a criminal prosecution. But are these the acts of someone we want to entrust with high office?

By your summary, you clearly know little about the case.easyrider16 wrote: ↑May 1st, '24, 07:34This is really the worst part about the case. BTW: Congress has a slush fund set up to pay off hush money for their members.

Re: Political Humor
Can you elaborate? What do you know that could change my perspective?
My first thought was, so what? Does that somehow justify Trump's conduct?
Then I googled it and what came up was that Congress has paid $17 million in settlements for sexual harassment lawsuits since the 1990s. That is very clearly not the same thing as what we are talking about, but if you want to get into that, Trump has paid far more than that just for his own sexual harassment lawsuits. In the Carroll suit alone he was ordered to pay over $80 million. And there are many, many more. I mean just look at this list of allegations:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donald_Tr ... llegations
Can you name one celebrity or public figure that has *this* many allegations against him from so many different sources? I can't. But I can rattle off names of a bunch of people who've never had even one - Romney, McCain, Obama, Gorsuch, Scalia, McConnell, Jeffries, the list goes on. Thus, I find it hard to believe that all the allegations against Trump are purely for political reasons.

Idaho, Mississippi, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Utah. Apparently, this is only after being convicted by a jury of peers .... as oppose to being good at hunting chickens and having your owner be judge, jury and executionerMister Moose wrote: ↑May 7th, '24, 14:48 You guys know that death by firing squad of humans is still allowed in 4 or 5 states, right?

I'll repeat myself. The problem isn't that she shot the dog. They shot the dog in Old Yeller, too, but nobody blames that guy. The problem is why she did it and how she talked about it afterwards - it made her look like a psychopath.
