a-basin is awesome. they're probably the only other (open) ski area that has a base area scene similar to killington's plus 75% of their terrain is open including pali.
The East Wall Hike To Terrain is also still open! How cool is that!
long @ss hike from here... :D
You can bike to the base

This just in:
" Greetings From Killington!

Our snowmakers built the base, you bumped and believed, and Mother Nature has thus far cooperated - that's right, the longest season in the East rolls on this Memorial Day Weekend (Friday 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Saturday/Sunday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. & Monday 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.) at the only East Coast resort still turning a lift for skiing and snowboarding!

Sunday, May 28 is day 200 of our winter season, and you're invited to celebrate and share cake with us at the Roaring Brook Umbrella Bar around noon! This isn't the end, though, we'll reopen Thursday, June 1 and beyond if the snow is schussable - stay tuned!"

only if yer coming over to camp Kzone to introduce yourself...
Sure thing MH! I think I know the very prominent spot. After skiing 1000+ days (stopped counting after 1000) at K I am kind of picky about the weather so if its sunny I will be there. Probably Saturday from the looks of it. Orange goggles blue top with an orange vertical stripe on both sides.

looks like some downhill walking will required at some point this weekend. it's amazing how that massive pile on the headwall is always the first to go.
