Here's a graph of the Mansfield snow stake for the last 4 years. The yellow is 21-22. The brown is the last above average season, 18-19. The solid green is the overall average. Gives you an idea of where we stand year to date, which not surprisingly is a little low.

Are there any resorts in North America with an above average snowpack this year?

Edit: Stevens Pass just passed their 30 year average a couple of days ago…

Never argue with idiots. They will bring you down to their level, then overwhelm you with their experience.

real bummer. was hoping for a window today to ski a rare saturday but doesn't look good. they did a fantastic job getting the mtn back into shape and now once again another kick in the teeth. i'm sure the skiing is quite good today but temps plummet tonite so edges will be mandatory tomorrow. 3 r*in events within a week is just not fair.

You are correct! (I'd even take Nov 2019 instead of this season start also) I was looking at my past seasons log and noticed the 2018 didn't even firm up from a bad thaw/refreeze until about the first week of December...I would compare this season start to the dreaded 2015/16, so as long as this coming spring turns out as great as that one did I'll be ok.

It's December 11th, so even just a dusting of snowfall so far has got me fired-up. What a sad beginning of a ski season. THINK SNOW!
