Woman charged with rape of boy, 16

A 39-year-old Carle Place woman's gift of a Mercedes-Benz to a 16-year-old boy helped reveal their illegal love affair and led to her arrest Wednesday, Nassau police said.
Lisa M. Frodella, of 274 Rushmore Ave., surrendered to police on two counts each of third-degree rape and third-degree criminal sexual act, authorities said. Each crime is a felony punishable by 1to 4 years in prison.
The age of sexual consent is 17 with an adult at least 21 years of age, police said.
Frodella had two sexual encounters with the boy, then 16, at hotels in Carle Place and Westbury on March 17 and April 24, police said.
Frodella met the boy, an acquaintance of her two teenage daughters, in January at her home, police said.
Afterward, she called him often and also sent him text messages, police said.
The Nassau County Police Department's special victims unit began investigating Frodella after the boy's mother asked her son about the 2002 Mercedes-Benz S430 he drove home April 24 -- the same day as the second alleged sexual encounter.
"The mother saw the car parked in the driveway and questioned her son," said Det. Lt. Kevin Smith, a police spokesman.
The boy told his mother the car was a gift from Frodella, who intended for him to work for her during the summer.
Suspicious, the mother called police, who interviewed the boy and learned about the alleged sexual relationship.
Frodella, who is unemployed and married, was ordered held on $120,000 bond, or $40,000 cash, Wednesday at First District Court in Hempstead. She has since sold the car, police said.
Relatives for Frodella could not be reached for comment.

I think the Face (even for a mugshot) leaves a lot to be desired.
I hope at the very least she has a smokin bod! Then the face does not become that important.
