As someone on the radio said today, it saved us over $100,000 / year. But, he should have played Lucy for at least one year to some Bubba in prison.

How Ironic though, the guy that screwed Enron, all it's employees and is still screwing us with his deals (we are still paying for some of them) still owns a home in ASPEN.

dennis & mark did not do what the enron people did. if dennis & mark were still running tyco the shareholders would be a lot better off. all they did was take money from the co without board approval. thats it. money that had no material effect on the co. its a crime but there were no victims. the manhattan da morgenthau & his douche bag asst john moscow are the real scumbags. the judge michael obus is another gem trying to use his position for his own good. the USA is destroying itself internally with domestic terrorists.

How conveinent. This rat is facing serious jail time for unspeakable crimes and he is suddenly dead before he can strike a deal and bring down all his pals in the Bush Crime Family. There are plenty of drugs that mimic a massive heart heart attack. This reminds me of Martha Mitchell. Can anybody spell C-O-N-S-P-I-R-A-C-Y? Admins - please move this to the political forum so I can rant more freely.

you're a pissa....didnt think of that but u may be on to something....bush called him "kenny boy"....he might have taken one for the team....i bet his death is better financially for his family....the law suits are gone & life insurance cant be too bad at his level....dead & help ur family or in a cage & ur family miserable....

just found out kenny boy has a LONG history of heart disease....dont forget skilling is still around & he can do just as much damage....remember when skilling went psycho in midtown a year or so ago?

It turns out that in the eyes of the law Ken Lay (deceased) is not a criminal after all.

The legal principle is called "abatement ab initio". The law requires the guilty ruling to be upheld by a appellate court (assuming the verdict is challenged) before the conviction is final.

Since his appeal hadn't been heard by the time of his death its as though he'd never been convicted or even indicted.

This will complicate efforts to get restitution and seized assets.
