I think she will be more centered as speaker...

Republicans have been hoping for a lot of stuff... But hope is not a really good strategy...

I agree with Steve. The last thing the dems need is a hardcore liberal spouting random jibberish and executing numerous personal attacks. It's clear the country doesn't favor hardcore liberals, I hope Pelosi doesn't become the speaker ... that would fire up the republican base in no time.
