Thanks for your cooperation and for communicating this policy.

At Pokemon, they just use a marker...
Then you can't get back on the lift...
I have a few of these tickets.
Nail polish remover will take the marker off.

The don't know how I'll be dressed and they also do not know my full name.

And the whole idea of poaching is to not do it infront of the ski patrol, which is one of the things I'll be teaching at the clinic.

Again, thanks for the heads up. :D
You're advertising yourself in a public forum, telling everyone where to meet, and at what time you'll be there. Someone from Ski Patrol, incognito, will be joining you on Sunday morning, I'm sure.
Well, they had better send someone who can ski, otherwise they won't make it to the adventure skiing portion.

And if there's going to be such a fuss about skiing closed trails, we can just do the adventure skiing portion of the clinic on un-marked glades....not a big deal, I'm game. I think that is perfectly within Killington policies, right? Or, we will just go out of the ski area boundary, which is certainly another option.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Spinmaster, can you make it to the clinic?

If a snowboarder is in front of me or to the side I assume the slobbering moron will cut from one side of the trail to the other -GSKI 1/17/12

Yes, that it perfectly acceptable, as long as you feel up can keep up. I don't want to discriminate against snowboarders, but I think snowboarding falls outside the scope of this clinic.

Very fair policy and well communicated. Thanks Tom.

But I never actually "poach" a closed trail. The woods are alway open, unless a marked trail. They just happen to end on some of them dam trails.

So, Tom, have you had a complete tour of Killington? ;)

I'm generally assuming if you can make it onto the ski patrol then you can "ski"

now the mountain ambassador's  perhaps not so much
Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.

exactly. I've never seen a patroller who wasn't worthy of an "expert" tag. Even thought I feel I'm a _fairly_competent skier, I know I'm not worthy of being a patroller.

Mountain Ambassador? I could do that with my eyes closed...

AFA trees, here's my take:

As long as you can:

Enter the woods from an open trail

and

Exit the woods onto an open trail

You're OK.

Judging by those video clips someone posted earlier, I see absolutely nothing special about your skiing. Woo hoo! Congratulations! You can ski down Superstar! Mommy must be so proud!!
