I spoke to a friend of mine and apparently other cities were aware and it's been going on for weeks.

I think the real question is ... why did it take Boston so long to discover it was a hoax?

I Tivo'd Aqua Teen Hunger Force this week (as I do every week - love the show)
And this week they played a really well done and respectful apology before the show started...
