Avatar loading problem

New to this so be kind.
In my profile I go to load an avatar from the gallery.
I select "Show Gallery" and I get the screen to "Select Gallery"
I get an empty, 1 column width drop-down .
No option to choose anything.
I am ready to be embarrassed

I don't think that feature works too well (as you've discovered)
What I do is simply copy the URL to the image in the gallery you want and paste that into the avatar field in the config. Works fine.

OK Dork, now explain how to shrink the avatar.
