Mister Moose wrote: Apr 17th, '23, 08:18 From another VT beers ranked list, is this:

Founded by three brothers-in-law, Red Clover Ale Co. excels at gentle, subtle hazy IPAs—picking up the baton from Foam Brewers. Moreover, Red Clover’s founders channel their family history in farming to produce fresh, locally inspired beers. The tap list is varied and any visitor will find something that pleases their palate—from a superbly balanced New England IPA to an unfussy Vienna Lager.

Red Clover Ale Co. signifies the latest crop of breweries in Vermont. They’re small, driven by local supporters, and passionate about their craft. They forgo bombast for balance. And, they’re unpretentious in their pursuit of something special. We named Red Clover Ale Co. one of the best new breweries in the US for 2019 and we imagine they’ll remain one of the best craft breweries in Vermont for years to come.

Haven't seen it in stores, might warrant a run to Brandon some rainy day.

Had the Mas Verde from River Roost, good enough to throw it into the rotation. White River junction??? Who knew...
Agree with the Mas Verde! Had it on tap at Blackback up in Waterbury last week, enjoyed it well enough that as I was driving back down 100 and stopped at Brewfest ion Ludlow and saw it on the shelf, I picked up a 4 pack of it. Tasty offering!

That's a rough list....

Wanted to like it because it's relatively cheap but Conehead is awful.

Lush is great but the batches are inconsistent.

Hoping to make the pilgrimage to Hill Farmstead this summer if they are open.

Edward didn't make the list?

And Focal Banger. Yuck.

Sam Adams recently remastered their Boston Lager and it is very good, especially in their glass specifically designed for the beer.

In my photo of the Sam Adams Lager glass there are tiny bubbles at the bottom of the glass on the inside. I was told a long time ago it's because the glass is not thoroughly cleaned? Anyone else hear of this, or what causes the tiny bubbles? I cleaned and dried this glass but it was hard to get down at the bottom of the glass where the bubbles are? I put it in the freezer for a few minutes to chill it before I poured it. There weren't any bubbles anywhere except the bottom where it was hard to clean? I have noticed that at bars and restaurants, there are usually bubbles inside the glass, sometimes all over the inside and other times not so much? Is it because the glasses are dirty?

I thought the Sam Adams glass had a ring etched into the bottom that caused the bubbles. I remember some kind of marketing BS about it

Yes. It was (is?) silly marketing. I think Dogfish had something similar on their glasses many moons ago.

I liked Plush better than Lush, but haven't had a lot of either.

I think it's the Mosaic hops, which I'm not a fan of. Focal Banger is heavy on Citra and Mosaic. Might be why hillbangin doesn't like it.

There's a brewery outside of Philly called Vault that basically makes a 100% Mosaic IPA. It's pretty wild and enjoyable, but Mosaic hops def have a very distinct taste.

Double Mosaic??? Ugh.

This is the beer (Lost Nation, they have a few good ones) that taught me to be wary of Mosaic:

That may be it. Tough to compete with Heady .

Tree House Space and Time. Canned 1 28 22.

So few Russian Imperial Stouts out there. Fewer good ones.

I bought this in a 2 pack, (limited to 2) drank one and fridged the other. Not by plan, just the usual I'll have that later shove it to the back of the fridge sorta thing. Well later is now.

It aged really well. Layers of chocolate, raisin, cherry, whiskey. Thick resinous inly black goodness.

I have to say that Lawson's new to their regular rotation and distribution network Hazy Rays IPA is likely my this Summer's go to crushable beer! Plenty of flavor that works well for my palate, and the 5.3% ABV works too!
