Except for some exchange students at the University, I can't tell you that I ever saw anyone wearing one of these things before 4 years ago.
Now they are everywhere. Now people are free to dress however they want, but I find the significance of the choice to be absolutley deafening in terms of the volume of what it says about our failure.
