Guns are lit on rime

Post by laseranimal »

Thus Sayeth the k Facebook
Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.

Interesting that it's just Rime. I'd expect them to blow from the peak if they were just stock piling. Since they are concentrating their fire power on Rime, I'd anticipate they are blowing to get open and fast. Expect to walk both ways.

That photo is a thing of beauty.

It's finally snowing here in western MA. My 14 year old daughter just ran up to me, hugged me, and said "I love you Dad, its snowing". Snow makes people do crazy things. I'm wearing perma-grin!

Yippeee! Haven't seen snow in CT for my B'day in YEARS. Could be this year with the current weather patterns. Stay tuned! May have to jib it on that day.

Yeah just switched to snow in Northampton.

I laid out all the ski stuff last night... it was a beautiful moment.

Man that's a nice sight. It's obviously cold enough they don't need to use the "low e" guns, which means more production!

Edit: I didn't see rogman's post. Aren't the low-e guns tower mounted? They should have good temperatures tonight once the snow clears out.

That's not how it works, actually. Low-E guns do not work/work very well in marginal temperatures. They work in cold weather and in that cold weather, they produce snow significantly more efficiently, which is why you see them being used during the big snowmaking expansions with the nice cold weather. In marginal temps, the only thing that works are A/W guns running incredibly inefficiently and maybe fan guns running incredibly inefficiently.
