You hit the nail on the head. As a life long steelers fan, Burress has been a major dissapointment since he got there. He is a malcontent, plays soft, and disappears in big games. After this years loss to the pats in afc championship game, his biggest concern was voicing his displeasure about the offenses' inability to get him the ball enough. Well, plexiglass, if you caught the touchdown pass in the beginning of the 4th quarter, its a one touchdown game. Good luck with him, personally, I'm glad he is no longer a steeler.

Again, can you name 1 decent QB that Plex had throwing him the Ball?Last years rookie?
Give the guy a chance! With Shockey and Toomer he should do well in one on one coverage.
Of coarse this depends on how Eli matures as a QB as well.

I can see your point but then why has ward had so much success with the steelers? Maddux had a record setting year (in steeler history) for them the one year burress put up star quaility numbers. Hey, seriously, i hope he helps the Giants. I'm just saying, from watching so many steeler games that he is quite possibly the most overrated player in the free agent pool. or was since he is no longer a free agent. And he better get 8-10 balls his way or he is gonna divide up that locker room.

Some interesting numbers:

Terrell Owens (6'3" 226 lbs), 1st 4 seasons in NFL:

62 games, 222 catches, 3307 yds (14.9 yds/rec), 30 TD

--------------------------------------------------------------------
Plaxico Burress (6'5" 226 lbs), 1st 4 seasons in NFL :

60 games, 226 catches, 3466 yds (15.33 yds/rec), 17 TD

And I think the Steelers penchent for pounding it in at the Goal line with THE BUS and other good backs kept Plaxis TD #'s down.

nice but lets look at the 5th year.
burress 13games 40 rec 763 yds and 6 td's a 19.1 avg which is awesome

owens 5th year 14 games 97 rec 1451 yds 13 tds and a 15 avg

both were hurt so adjust burress numbers slightly higher on a full season than the adj for owens but still quite a difference.

like i said i hope he helps you out. i still say, good riddance.

Are you saying he had the mental ability to become Eagle? Because you would of loved him on the opposite end of T. Owen.
