Bump... just read where yesterday's pres conference was cancelled by her "teary-eyed" agent and publicist (no family) because there was nothing to report. In other words, she's not improving.

I got a bad feeling about this one. "Vegetative state" keeps coming to mind...

Head injuries are as different as the individual that suffers them. My son had a serious one 5 1/2 years ago as a result of a car accident. It took months to get to the point he could talk again. Some recover quickly, some slowly. Some start out slow, and them make incredible strides toward recovery.

My son's docs thought he would be nursing home bound for the rest of his life. He has been home for 5 years, is skiing again, and is starting college level courses later this week.

I hope she recovers completely.

All the best to your son and Sarah. I don't know how a parent makes it through such a thing.
