one trail ... never skied there but interesting when you look at one of these places. little mole hill with 750 vert ft but probably a nice business. 10 lifts including 2 sixes, the rest quads & triples. probably crazy crowded on weekends, probably good after school/night weekday business. slopeside condos. big time family thing happening and bet they do pretty good summer business. and now they're challenging for last to close in the east. good for them. enjoy ...

The guy who started it is also the owner of HKD snowguns. I don't know if he still owns the place. Not far from the Pittsburg market.

K got beat? Very funny. The place reminds me of a Golf Course I used to go sledding at as a kid. In fact I think part of it is a Golf course. If that place got a foot of pow pow I dont think it would be steep enough to get enough speed up to turn. For kids and beginners new to the sport its convenient and fun and that is their niche market. Also, terrain parks have been an important addition for smaller vertical hills to distinguish themselves as you do not need vast terrain or long steep slopes to make that crowd happy.

depends on the contest parameters.

if last to close counting reopening, then yes they got beat.

if last to close but not counting reopening then they didn't

Size of resort should not count, remember a few years ago Tenney took first to open crown and nobody disputed.

The Beast could learn a lot from 7 Springs. I went to a USSA Mogul Event for the B's. They have an incrdible Hotel and several mogul/ freestyle trails dedicated without grooming. Snowmaking is great as well.
