There are some valid points in this article, but increasing the minimum wage to $9/hour should fix all that and put people on a path to economic prosperity. Unless of course the business lets people go as they can't cope with the increase wage costs.

You are kidding, right? $9 / hr in this economy is a living wage? About all this will do is push inflation upward. Your $5 hamburger will be $7 by years end.
I guess a single person, working 6 days / week for all 52 weeks could make $22K, but a family is still in poverty at that level.

Sadly, the guy that ABC News used as one example was working "full-time" at 32 hours a week. Seriously? I should feel bad for this guy?
