Talk about listening to customers, I just received this note from Rob Megnin:

***********************************

I think Reno was asking for us to allow Beast Bucks to be acquired under the payment plan for a Blackout Pass. We’ll allow this for next year. It’s not about cash flow, it’s about rewarding frequent purchase behavior for us. Those that are loyal to us we’re reciprocating the favor. We appreciate the value that the renewal of season passes brings to us!

The web site now reads:

2012-13 Blackout Passholders enjoy $50 Beast Bucks with a pass renewal by June 13, 2013 whether you choose to pay in full or select the payment plan option. Beast Bucks will be loaded on your pass for use during the 2013-14 winter season at base area shops and food and beverage venues.

One more comment from Rob Megnin:

"There are no Beast Bucks for mid-week pass renewals. There are Bucks for senior renewals @ $100. Same standards apply.... See web site."

What's the Beast Bucks Benefit if you're renewing a pass but changing product? Say upgrading from a blackout to an unlimited or downgrading from an unlimited to a blackout? Is it based on the product you currently have or the product you're renewing to?

I will be upgrading from a Blackout to a full and was wondering the same.

Another response from Rob:

Another good question from the group:

We’ll honor cross migration renewals of Beast Bucks in the following manner: So, a person goes from Unlimited to Blackout, they went to Blackout they get $50. Moving from a Blackout to Unlimited they’ll get $100 Beast Bucks, as examples.
