Their biggest sellers, other than some Military weapons, are the AR 15 and 1911 .45 ACP. Many states are banning the AR rifles and the competition is very high. The .45 is still legal most places but sales could be off due to magazine restrictions. The 1911 is also produced by lots of competitors.SnoBrdr wrote:Yet Colt has filed for bankruptcy protection.Bubba wrote:Smith & Wesson nails what Obama did for gun sales in one sentence

9 mil has become popular esp in the mid size carry options, less weight, less bulk, more rounds... it does have less stopping power but seriously that's not going to com into play that often in the real world...I fully loaded 45 w like 15 rnds would pull my pants down when I walked if I was carrying it..Dr. NO wrote:Their biggest sellers, other than some Military weapons, are the AR 15 and 1911 .45 ACP. Re: Obama's America
9mm fully double stack loaded (16 rounds?) is still a heavy load. If you have smaller hands, wrapping around that double stack sucks so a single load mag for the .45 seems better. Still, for a carry either 1911 is way to big for carry for normal people. 6 foot plus and a big frame, no problem. I'm looking for a carry weapon and a .40 S&W seems to be about right. Like the 9mm, not the big hit power or accuracy as a .45, but it can do the job and easy to hide while carrying. May look into a .380 revolver (why is .380 smaller than a .38 special?).madhatter wrote:9 mil has become popular esp in the mid size carry options, less weight, less bulk, more rounds... it does have less stopping power but seriously that's not going to com into play that often in the real world...I fully loaded 45 w like 15 rnds would pull my pants down when I walked if I was carrying it..Dr. NO wrote:Their biggest sellers, other than some Military weapons, are the AR 15 and 1911 .45 ACP. 40SW ammo is kinda pricey though its all to pricey these days. 9mm is by far a more common round and s/b more available and lower priced at any given time...these are all decent carriesDr. NO wrote:9mm fully double stack loaded (16 rounds?) is still a heavy load. Cnn's headline reads " White male kills Marines in Tennessee "...............when it should read " Islamic Terrorist kills unarmed soldiers at U.S Military Base ".
This isn't "domestic " terror either ! It' ISIS RIGHT HERE IN AMERICA ! OBAMAS " religion of peace " strikes again ! Yup, according to Obama now is the time to open the borders and cut the military ! If people don't wake up in this country soon it will be too late . The " chickens continue to come home to roost " under Obama's leadership and still nothing is done. Now some Liberal media idiot will say " see we need gun control " when in fact it is ISIS in America killing innocent unarmed Americans because one thing remains true " when guns are outlawed then only the outlaws will have guns "'.

The gun control we need are trained Marines who carry their fire arms at all times so they can return fire on perps like this.Atomic1 wrote:Cnn's headline reads " White male kills Marines in Tennessee "...............when it should read " Islamic Terrorist kills unarmed soldiers at U.S Military Base ".

Re: Obama's America
I can't tell you how pissed off I am about this latest attack and further infuriated by Obama's non specific cavalier response. There should be/always have been at least one armed soldier at ALL military facilities. Was this ISIS? Well ISIS asked for attacks during their holiday against our military and police. So this wasn't a surprise.
The soldier who was shot 3 times died this morning. We need to carpet bomb Ramadi and burn the city to the ground just like we did to the industrial cities of Japan and Germany.

Re: Obama's America
Root cause analysis suggests it's OUR fault; those who voted and those who didn't vote. We (collectively) get the government we deserve.

I didn't vote for anyone presently in office that represents me on the state or federal level & yes I vote. So how's it my fault?Bubba wrote:Root cause analysis suggests it's OUR fault; those who voted and those who didn't vote. We (collectively) get the government we deserve.
