You're okay with the IRS denying tax exemptions to groups based on their politics?

It's possible that he is telling the truth and has no knowledge of day to day operations of the government. Getting all the news from the press as he claims. Just a figurehead puppet with his handlers making all the real decisions.

Isn't that what Dubya was accused of being, with Cheney running things?

Yep. I think both Dubya and Obama will go down in history as incredibly weak Presidents. The country deserves better but it won't happen with today's power elite in the Republican and Democratic parties picking the candidates. Obama was incredibly unqualified to be President. 4 years as a junior US Senator. Illinois State Senator before that for a half-dozen years. A freakin' lawyer before that.

Not at all.. BUT.... I think there are flags that the IRS looks for... And every freaking Tea Party wacko wanting Tax exemption is a flag...
Liberal groups get flagged too...

And were any denied? Or were they just scrutinized?

Which liberal groups were getting scrutinized the way conservative groups were in 2009 and 2010, or whichever years this was going on?

"Winstead, who created The Daily Show and uses social media to promote her far-left views, sent out this Twitter joke earlier today:

This tornado is in Oklahoma so clearly it has been ordered to only target conservatives."

Watchdog report says DOJ official retaliated against ‘Furious’ whistle-blower, lied about it

"The former U.S. Attorney for Arizona could be disbarred, after an investigation found he lied to the Justice Department about his role in trying to discredit the federal whistle-blower who exposed the botched gun-running scheme known as Fast and Furious.

An Office of Inspector General report showed that Dennis Burke -- the former chief of staff for Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano appointed as U.S. Attorney for Arizona by President Obama in September 2009 -- lied when asked if he leaked sensitive documents to the press meant to undermine the credibility of ATF whistle-blower John Dodson.

The IG report also said Burke likely leaked the memo in retaliation for Dodson's whistle-blowing, and challenged the credibility of statements he made to congressional investigators."

this lying sack of sh!t administration is corrupt from top to bottom and rotten to the core. But we can't really expect these corrupt pieces of sh!t to remove themselves from office. The demise of the nation is unfolding right before our eyes...and we are powerless to prevent it. The overwhelming culture of America has become " the ends justify the means" and thus nothing is off the table and everything is fair game. Don't seem like there is any turning back at this point...

F the press if they were doing their jobs Obama would have never been able to get away with these abuses. Time has come for the pigeons to come home to roost.

First they came for Fox News, and they did not speak out—because they were not Fox News. Then they came for government whistleblowers, and they did not speak out—because they were not government whistleblowers. Then they came for the maker of a YouTube video, and—okay, we know how this story ends. But how did we get here?

http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2 ... press.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

"What I think is fair to say about Fox … is that it really is more a wing of the Republican Party," said Anita Dunn, White House communications director, on CNN. “[L]et's not pretend they're a news network the way CNN is." On ABC’s “This Week” White House senior adviser David Axelrod said Fox is "not really a news station." It wasn’t just that Fox News was “not a news organization,” White House chief of staff Rahm Emmanuel told CNN’s John King, but, “more [important], is [to] not have the CNNs and the others in the world basically be led in following Fox, as if what they’re trying to do is a legitimate news organization …”

What all of us in the media need to remember—whatever our politics—is that we need to hold government actions to the same standard, whether they’re aimed at friends or foes. If not, there’s no one but ourselves to blame when the administration takes aim at us.

Collateral damage from all the Obama scandals.
http://www.caintv.com/msnbc-ratings-hit-7-year-low" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

MSNBC ratings hit 7-year low

this is just the latest bit of terrible news news for the Peacock. In February, it was leaned that MSNBC's big brother, NBC, is also tanking badly. It's now in fifth place, attracting a smaller audience than ABC, CBS, FOX, and...wait for it...Univision.

We're sure MSNBC and NBC have your deepest sympathies.

With 350,000 viewers on average and 94,000 in the adults 25-54 demo, MSNBC had its least-watched and lowest-rated total-day results of the year last week. That was also the lowest total-day demo result the network has had since the week of June 26-July 2, 2006, when MSNBC pulled in just 83,000 viewers among adults 25-54, according to Nielsen data.

For MSNBC, last week’s total day results were down 17% in viewers and 22% among the demo from the comparable May 14 to May 18 week of last year. In primetime, the numbers were even worse as a steady decline from the beginning of the year continued. The network had 570,000 total viewers and 159,000 in the demo from 8-11 PM from May 13 to May 17, 2013. That’s the lowest-rated week of the year so far for MSNBC in terms of viewers and the third-lowest of 2013 in the demo.
