typical liberal hypocrisy YOU want to be judge jury and executioner and those who are charged w that responsibility are only right when you say so...Pantaleo clearly acted as judge, jury and certainly executioner, guess that makes him a liberal

again that "system" is called anarchy...cuz if you are judge jury and executioner everyone else will want to be too... it's WHY we have a legal system w set rules, regulations and protocols that Pantaleo willfully violated etc... and don;t leave it up to how some libtard feels it should be...
And Pantaleo did not simply "violate police department guidelines", like having long sideburns, he negligently applied a fatal chokehold this is your "unqualified" opinion, you aren't a ME, lawyer or grand jury member and don;t have privy to all the facts presented to the afore mentioned who again don;t see it your way...specifically banned by the department decades ago for the very reason it proved too lethal. In any case, this cop will no doubt eventually land in court or cost the city a hell of a lot more $30K - probably both.
interesting that a grand jury doesn't see it through your distorted lens...some see the world as it is, apparently you do not... past the point of really arguing with your obvious delusions... if you think it was a racially motivated " judge, jury, and executioner" killing by a crazy cop have at it... rational people disagree...

They should indict, but not on a homicide charge. I would imagine that a jury might possibly find the cop guilty of some kind of reckless endangerment charge in that he shot in less than 2 seconds but that's about it.

Obama: 'No justification' for killing of NYC police officers

President Barack Obama on Sunday condemned the killing of two New York police officers and called on people to react with prayer and sympathy instead of violence.

“I unconditionally condemn today’s murder of two police officers in New York City,” the president said in a statement released just after midnight on Sunday morning. “Two brave men won’t be going home to their loved ones tonight, and for that, there is no justification.”

Later on Sunday, Obama called Philadelphia Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey, who serves on Obama’s Task Force on 21st Century Policing, to express his “outrage” over the killings according to a pool report.

The two NYPD officers, Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu, were ambushed and fatally shot while sitting in their patrol car in Brooklyn on Saturday. The gunman, whose posts on Instagram connected this shooting to the deaths of Eric Garner and Michael Brown, later ran into a subway station and killed himself.

“The officers who serve and protect our communities risk their own safety for ours every single day — and they deserve our respect and gratitude every single day,” Obama said in the statement. “I ask people to reject violence and words that harm, and turn to words that heal — prayer, patient dialogue, and sympathy for the friends and family of the fallen.”

In a statement, Attorney General Eric Holder labeled the killings an “assassination” and “an unspeakable act of barbarism.”

He said the attack underscores the dangers police officers face each day in their jobs and that “we must not forget this as we discuss the events of the recent past.”

Holder called for communities and their police departments to forge closer bonds, “so that public safety is not a cause that is served by a courageous few, but a promise that’s fulfilled by police officials and citizens working side by side.”

Do you feel there is a difference when the POTUS holds a press conference versus issuing a statement? Do you think this difference may cause some people to question the intent and beliefs of the POTUS?

I agree his statement said all the right things, but there's a difference between simply issuing a statement and being out in front of the cameras, even with a backdrop of Waikiki Beach instead of the White House.

Do you really think the people who question the "intent and beliefs of the POTUS" on this (or any other) issue would somehow change their position if he made his statement in front of a camera?

Really?

And with this diatribe, Madhatter once again quite eloquently makes my point.
