This is supposed to be the place to go for a philly cheesesteak. I think they are gross because they use Cheese Whiz on them.

Haven't had them so, I cannot rate them.
Geno's is supposed to have originated the cheesesteak.

the secret "space cheese"
which is the heart and soul
of all cheese steaks. .

Going where the wind don't blow so strange. Maybe on some high cold mountain range.

A Word of Warning! Be prepared and know how to order, because the service is fast and the line keeps moving. For example, on a cheese steak with onions specify which kind of cheese you'd like (Provolone, American or Cheese Whiz). By the time you have given your order, your money will be taken and your sandwich will be out the window nice and hot! At the next window you can pick up your soda, fries and coffee.

And your probolem with cheez whiz is
only kidding. I prefer Geno's over Pat's but they are very similar. The cheese will run right out of the roll so hold very far from your body and sort of lean over like you are eating a melting ice cream cone.
In my younger days prior to my high cholesterol count I would eat two after a night of heavy drinking.
My favorite sandwich is a pork sandwich with broccoli rabe from Tony Lukes on Oregon Ave.

Re: And your probolem with cheez whiz is
I hear that the reason the cheesesteaks are so good in South Philly is the water they use to make the rolls...
I've been to Ginos... It's good stuff!
