Winable game.

Didn't have the horses.

The Edelman drop was crushing.

Few others as well.

Those were two pretty entertaining games to watch yesterday. Overtime in the first and down to the last minute in the other.

Buffalo blew it.

They were cruising in the 1st half and then went away from everything they had done to lose the game.

The Pats were just outmanned.

I think Edelman is hurt and not just a little.

no way brady goes anywhere else, no way he retires this year...BUTT the time for an understudy IS here....brady can stick around for a while as a mentor and even as a backup to a successful prodigy if he wants to...backup QB's can still get rings...

BUTT they do have needs elsewhere...Offensive line, wide receivers and tight ends...that's a lot of positions to fill when there's a salary cap...

to call it "the end" IMO would require two or more consecutive seasons without a playoff appearance and/or a season w 10 or more losses...

til then it's hard to see the pats part ways w brady and with the right " go-to" guys he's still one of the best in the business....

if they can put an offensive line in front of him that keeps him from becoming jim plunkett or steve grogan he'll continue to play as long as he is putting up winning numbers......

.. actually, the Patriot 'understudy' is already on track to win his very own Superbowl.
Adonis jerseys and dolls are rolling off the shelves

Wholesale changes to clear the chasm will involve a complete rebuild .. taking Brady way beyond any window he could physically absorb.
Not just players, but KEY members of the coaching staff are poised to move on or retire. It's a long way back from mediocrity.
It was a great 20 years .. our children will eventually understand how epic that was.

Wholesale changes to clear the chasm will involve a complete rebuild .. taking Brady way beyond any window he could physically absorb.we'll see about that...12-4 is hardly a chasm or calls for a complete rebuild...if they could have kept gordon and brown while avoiding injuries to the line they may have won those four games...yeah if if if but it's still not even close to a chasm or complete rebuild scenario...
Not just players, but KEY members of the coaching staff are poised to move on or retire. many have come and gone since brady took his first snap as a patriot...It's a long way back from mediocrity. being a sox fan you'd know a lot more about mediocrity than I do......

it certainly has been epic...it's also certainly not a given that it's over...

chances of brady retiring or wearing another uniform are very slim...not impossible but very slim...there's still plenty of time to bring in another quality backup and get him up to speed...

if the pats can put a quality Offensive line in front of him that keeps him from becoming a grogan or plunkett he can play for a while...he's not even close to the oldest QB to play the game...He's been relatively unbattered for his entire career and remains in top physical shape...

most of it depends on brady and his desire to play...hard to see him accepting his last pass in patriots uniform being a pick six...impossible to imagine really...

The NFL and NFL fans want Brady to play for another team. And I think Brady wants to play for another team to prove he can win in another system and under a different coach. He can still play at a high level and there will be some teams that go after him. A Brady vs. Belichick match up would be epic, even as a regular season game. It would be one of the highest ratings of any NFL game. And I don't think Belichick particularly cares to have Brady come back and certainly not at the price tag that Brady will be looking for. So we know he isn't retiring and I no signs point to him staying in Foxborough (including the most obvious sign which is the fire sale currently going on for his mansion in Brookline).

Seriously, what team that has a chance of winning anything could use Brady?
