What a way to make your Mom proud!

Channeled Momentum is such a powerful force

Re: New England Patriots
After Julio Jones made that unreal catch well within FG distance, I couldn’t figure out why Atlanta didn’t run the ball to take time off the clock and make the easy kick for what would have been a virtually insurmountable lead at the very end of the game. Guess little Shanney tried to out-Belichick Belichick. He probably should have conferred with Pete Carroll on the wisdom of trying that.
Re: New England Patriots
Yup .. Seattle coaching hangover.
Those couple penalties had a big impact.
Kinda tough when facing a 3rd down and 33.
Julio is a beast. Falcons will be back.
Their LB Jones played a great game.
Do Duck Boats run on Snow tires?

Do the Pats scare or confuse some of the other coaches into blunders?Coydog wrote:After Julio Jones made that unreal catch well within FG distance, I couldn’t figure out why Atlanta didn’t run the ball to take time off the clock and make the easy kick for what would have been a virtually insurmountable lead at the very end of the game. It sure seems that way.

Re: New England Patriots
early on in the game the officials allowed too much leeway to the ATL defense in the way of holding and personal fouls ( the slam to the ground on the play before the brady INT specifically) that allowed the ATL defense to remain in a keyed up and aggressive state that was definitely getting to brady...none of teh calls/non calls affected the game directly but they did set the tone early on..ATL came out in the second half w the hillary gameplan...worked about as well too...

Re: New England Patriots
I don't think it was as much bad play calling as it was Atlanta's lack of possession time to help them determine any workable scheme.
The 2 Pats turnovers in the 1st half both led to quick scores. Aside from that, ATL had a couple big plays that also led to quick hits.
Those short stints were then followed by long spells on defense. Their defense was exhausted at the end.
Once the Pats got in Atlanta's head as a result of consistent late 3rd and 4th quarter attacks, they completely lost their edge. LB's and DBs were pointing at each other on some of those Pats receptions. No ATL team leadership or belief that they could hold on to victory.
They were doomed. Hightower's strip sack was the crusher. You saw and heard the momentum swing. The OT coin toss ended it.
Key question going forward .. how John Henry responds to the Parade pressure.

so far removed from the squatting guy and the 85 bears game it's hardly even relevant...in fact it's even good to see old pat back every once in a while just to remember where ya came from...brownman wrote:I don't think it was as much bad play calling as it was Atlanta's lack of possession time to help them determine any workable scheme.

Key questionS going forward .. does brady become the first QB to need a second a hand to hold the jewels? and if so which finger does that first ring go on?can he win another one? two? how many more years can/will he play?how John Henry responds to the Parade pressure.

Pats D only really gave up 14 points to a team that scored well over 500 this season.brownman wrote:I don't think it was as much bad play calling as it was Atlanta's lack of possession time to help them determine any workable scheme.
