what k did to the half pipe ...

when we were over in bear late sunday we noticed that k apparently had taken a groomer and built a pile of snow running top-to-bottom down the middle of the half pipe so folks couldn't use it. maybe there were liability issues but imho thought it was pretty lame performance on k's part. first of all, while i'm grateful for the needles & canyon lifts running, bottom line there should have been a lift running at bear this weekend. plenty of snow. and then to destroy the half pipe which took a tremendous amount of resources to build and embarassingly didn't even open until mid-january and then to close it early as they did ... well it all seems a bit lame to me.

speaking of lame, that terrain park on upper bitter created a pretty dangerous situation.
