Brian Williams....

So, a news anchor, that I'm sure never does anything exciting, for a center-liberal media outlet mixes up a story from over ten years ago....and the right calls for his head?

I demand to know which Fox News people are being fired for their constant, deliberate lies and fabrications!

How is this for a start?

Republicans and Fox News have won PolitiFact’s lie of the year award for spreading inaccurate information and hysteria about Ebola.

PolitiFact explained why they chose the right’s Ebola hysteria as the lie of the year.

PolitiFact and PunditFact rated 16 separate claims about Ebola as Mostly False, False or Pants on Fire on our Truth-O-Meter in 2014. Ten of those claims came in October, as Duncan’s case came to the fore and as voters went to the polls to select a new Congress.

Fox News analyst George Will claimed Ebola could be spread into the general population through a sneeze or a cough, saying the conventional wisdom that Ebola spreads only through direct contact with bodily fluids was wrong.

“The problem is the original assumption, said with great certitude if not certainty, was that you need to have direct contact, meaning with bodily fluids from someone, because it’s not airborne,” Will said. “There are doctors who are saying that in a sneeze or some cough, some of the airborne particles can be infectious.” False.

Almost along the same lines of "If you like your plan you can keep it", except it doesn't really impact millions of people.

I generally watch Brian Williams on NBC Nightly News and saw the original story and his mea culpa last night. My immediate reaction was that he intentionally lied on the first story as he couldn't have simply been confused because 10 years had passed. Now, should NBC fire him for that? No, not in my opinion, as it was a personal tale rather than something material such as Dan Rather's story on GWB's reserve duty. In addition, he issued an apology for the "error" and corrected the record. I'm OK with that but I'm still left with "what was he thinking?"

Sounds like the legend grew in his own mind. I think lots of people are guilty of that. Just do not watch Mr. Williams as I really do not like him. Have been watching David Muir as of late. He was a Boston anchor on WCVB for a while and I genuinely like his delivery style.
