Blueshirts Clinch
Re: Blueshirts Clinch
Trying to visualize Lord Stanley sitting in the backseat of that Gran Torino with Callahan's teeth and body parts strewn about.

That had to be a dagger to the heart of all Habs fans.

I love watching the Habs crash n burn ! Meanwhile with the Rangers quickly falling out of Range Callahan has the Gran Torino gassed up and pointed North !SnoBrdr wrote:Two great games with even greater results.brownman wrote:Les Habitants sont morts.

I was dead wrong believing these Canadiens had the same heart as Richard, LaFleur and Dryden.
These Habs are not of the same cloth. Tattered and frayed.

And the last Bruins to win a game are a college team in Southern California.brownman wrote:

Re: Blueshirts Clinch
Be that as it may... soon they'll both be fighting for tee-times
President's Cup musta' been the Rangers primary objective.
Look for the fat lady circling Penn Plaza.

Re: Blueshirts Clinch
Nash needs an idea as to what he should do if he gets the puck. Here are a couple:
-Shoot the puck (at the goal).
-Skate and then shoot the puck (at the goal).
-Pass the puck (to a teammate).
-Skate and then pass the puck (to a teammate).
-Hit the puck into the boards (behind the other teams goalie).
-Skate and then hit the puck into the boards (behind the other teams goalie).
Hopefully Nash reads K-zone and this will get the Rangers back on track. (Hopefully Nash doesn't read K-zone.)
Yo, minturn Go team in red.

Thanks for turning me on to these playoffs. Great games, I just can't root for a NY team being from NH. It's not in my fabric.junior wrote:A Cindy and Evelyn fan rooting for Alexandra. Nice. Yo, minturn mile Yo.freeski wrote:

Glad you are enjoying the series. It's a wild one for sure. Can't beat playoff hockey.freeski wrote:Thanks for turning me on to these playoffs. Also, what does NH have to do with NY? Is it because you root for Boston teams? If so, I understand. Didn't you say you were a Penguins fan though, or was that somebody else?
Re: Blueshirts Clinch
Boston yes, Penn no. Not a huge hockey fan per se.
My first (real) job was as a CSR for the Bank of New England in the late 80's. I worked across the street from the Boston Garden. The coolest thing about the shitty job was every once in a while a young Canadian kid would come in the bank with a check for $80-$200K because he just signed a contract with the Bruins. It was so neat to see how excited these guys were, rightfully so. I started following some of their careers and that's how I started watching the games. The guy who did the best was named Rob Cimeta I believe.
Yea, these games have been fun to watch.

Didn't last in the league all that long.

Don't stop at this round either. If you're enjoying it, keep watching.freeski wrote: Yea, these games have been fun to watch.
Even when the Rangers have gotten knocked out in the past, which is pretty much every year, I still love watching the playoffs right up to the end. Nothing like seeing that Cup being skated around the ice...any ice. Playoff hockey is as good as sports gets as far as I'm concerned, even if my team isn;t playing anymore.
Really glad you are enjoying it.
