An oldie but goodie.
KD 7000 waterski
66" Excellent condition.
$120
The carbon KD 7000 has been a top performer for years, and it’s definitely not going to let you down.
One of the most user-friendly skis tested. KD refined the bevels of the 7000 to prevent the ski from “seeking” and to make the ski more responsive. It also tested different flex patterns and decided to go with a softer flex in the tail, combined with less rocker in the ski.
Test Team Comments:
Doug: A smooth and comfortable ride. High marks in terms of acceleration, deceleration, and the angle generated out of the turn. Great edge-change characteristics. Tweak: moved fin back and increased tip depth.
Rhoni: Very stable through the wakes. Decelerated better than any other ski tested, and the angle generated out of the turn is exceptional. Tweak: bindings back one hole from stock, and fin moved back a little.
Bret: Most user-friendly ski tested. Smooth, carving turns with good angle on both sides of the course. Tweak: bindings back one hole and fin back from stock.
Brandon: One of the best-turning skis that I tested. Symmetry of on- and off-side turns was nearly perfect. Predictable and stable. Tweak: stock setting was perfect.
Todd: Minimal effort from the skier with high ranks in acceleration, symmetry of turns and the angle generated out of the turn. Tweak: moved fin back and increased tip depth.
