Wasn't a bad day yesterday as all 3 NY teams lost.brownman wrote:Mets again illustrating that NY needs more and better Pro teams if they hope to win any more Championships
Too bad the Mets had to lose but KC is the better story.
The 2015 Mets now have their own Billy Buckner and Grady Little to chew on.
Beware of fools & trolls here, they lurk everywhere.

Precisely ... those are museum pieces ... and quite dusty.
Steelers rusted out. Yanks need rebuild.
No new rings until both find an identity.
Best NY title bet is an expansion franchise

So anything pre 2009 is a museum piece? (How many boston championships does that make "dusty"?)brownman wrote:^ ^

Pittsburgh = Football capital of the universe.
New York = Baseball capital of the universe.
Montreal = Hockey capital of the universe.
Chicago/Los Angeles = Basketball capital of the universe.
I guess that would leave boston as what, the cheating capital of the universe?

Curious, how many rings did Yogi have? I believe more than the Sox.junior wrote:So anything pre 2009 is a museum piece? (How many boston championships does that make "dusty"?)brownman wrote:^ ^

Re: Championships ... All that matters
Fine ... you want to look at Championship Titles since 2009.
Is this from your 4 'primary' teams, or for the entire collection of 9 ...
The only Pro Championship not held by the 4 Boston franchises since that year is in hoops.
Just curious, since Willis Reed, has NY even fielded a basketball team other than St John's or Syracuse
Revel in all those Yankee teams from when most here weren't even born ... yeah, that's the ticket

1 lots of geriatrics here...
2 11 WS appearances since 1976, 7 Titles, and a dozen add'l playoff appearances....
MOST here were alive during that entire time span at a minimum...watching your team in 23 post seasons is something fans of most other teams will never experience ( well maybe Patriots fans)
this has been a madhatter public service announcement..
