Yes, very typical. This happens at every sporting event in Pittsburgh. Glad I don't live there.

It was nice to see the team mascot deliver the kid a game jersey and TWO pucks. There is class to be found in that City, but there's an asshole in every bunch. Still DISlike the Cindy's.
Re: Typical Pittsburgh fan
Not really sure slowbrdr's original post had anything to do with hockey.Stormchaser wrote:It was nice to see the team mascot deliver the kid a game jersey and TWO pucks. There is class to be found in that City, but there's an asshole in every bunch. Still DISlike the Cindy's.
You wanna come down for Rangers/B's?

Still a bit far off for a firm confirmation, but it'd be hard to say no!

Let's see, there's a rink, a puck and the Penguins but the momo from New York doesn't think it has to do with hockey.Stormchaser wrote:junior wrote:Not really sure slowbrdr's original post had anything to do with hockey.Stormchaser wrote:It was nice to see the team mascot deliver the kid a game jersey and TWO pucks. That tells anyone all they ever need to know about that nitwit.

Poor kid ... what a buzzkill
'We are Family' ... yeah Right
This begins to explain the crying towels...
and defeatist attitude their fans have.
Who dreamed up that 'fearsome' penguin symbol anyway
Appropriate for Cindy, and his 'cabaret mates'.

How do you know that a-hole was a Pittsburgh fan? Buffalo is a 2 1/2 hour drive from the Burgh, he could have just as well been from there.

Must have a mighty fast car to do 215 +/- miles in 2.5 hours. Google says Interstate is nearly 4 hours. Just a slight difference.f.a.s.t. wrote:How do you know that a-hole was a Pittsburgh fan? Buffalo is a 2 1/2 hour drive from the Burgh, he could have just as well been from there.

I lived 20 miles north of the Burgh, close to I79. I could make it to Buffalo in about 2 1/2 hours..........so, you're right; it would take longer to get to downtown. I can admit it when I'm wrong, unlike some others around here. In any case, it's popular for fans from the two cities to go to the other city to see their teams. Especially for Steeler fans, and it is very well known, with out question, that Steeler fans travel more and better than any other in the NFL.Dr. NO wrote:Must have a mighty fast car to do 215 +/- miles in 2.5 hours. Re: Typical Pittsburgh fan
Why would a Buffalo fan drive all the way to the Pits when he could watch the Sabres lose right there at home in Erie?
Post doesn't make any sense ... but we've come to expect that by now.
This was a penguin hockey game ... the plexiglass around the ice should have given that away.
Pitt fans go to Buffalo because it's a step up in class and they could truthfully say 'We went to NY for the weekend'
When you lose so much at home, you have to travel on the hope of seeing that rare win.

It was determined that "it was more probable than not" that the fan was from Pittsburgh.f.a.s.t. wrote:I lived 20 miles north of the Burgh, close to I79. Re: Typical Pittsburgh fan
Why does Pittsburgh keep using the "prison garb" throwback uniforms. Those have to be the ugliest things I've ever seen! Serves them right that they lost today with those hideous things!
