The generation was “lost” in the sense that its inherited values were no longer relevant in the postwar world and because of its spiritual alienation from a U.S. that, basking under Pres. Warren G. Harding’s “back to normalcy” policy, seemed to its members to be hopelessly provincial, materialistic, and emotionally barren.
These are post-millennials, people that very recently graduated college, or are in college or high school now. They've been immersed in social media their entire lives. You can see the variety of strange stories. What happens in the next decade as this generation joins the working world, if they can?

(get off my lawn!!!)

According to a survey done by Goldman Sachs, almost 40% of young people do not want to invest in the stock market at all. Another 45% say they are skeptical and would play it safe by investing small amounts or by trading low risk strategies.

That video is a joke. The only injustice is attending college and attesting that you'll pay for your college and then asking for it to be paid for by others. Live within your means.

If this was an argument that colleges have cornered the market and are charging too much, I'm all for it. But don't act like you're a victim.

DERSHOWITZ: No, it’s the worst kind of hypocrisy. They want complete freedom over their sex lives, over their personal lives, over the use of drugs. But they want mommy and daddy, and dean and president to please give them a safe place, protect them, from ideas that may be insensitive. Maybe we’ll make them think. But it’s a double standard. Look at what’s happening at Hunter University, city university of New York. Students for Justice in Palestine have issued a petition saying Zionist administrators are causing high tuition in the school. Zionist administrators, you know what they mean by Zionist, they mean Jews.

KELLY: Uh-hm.

DERSHOWITZ: Blatant anti-Semitism, nobody says a word. When I spoke at Johns Hopkins University, some of the protesting students, the same students who were talking about safe places, painted a Hitler mustache on my posters. No concern about that. It’s an absolute double standard. It is free speech for me, but not for me. And universities should not tolerate this kind of hypocrisy, double standard and college administrators have to start treating students as adults and talking back to them.

MSA Rejects Moment of Recognition Resolution for 9/11

“The passing of this resolution might make a space that is unsafe for students on campus even more unsafe,” said Algadi, “Islamophobia and racism fueled through that are alive and well.”

Algadi added that holding a moment of recognition over a tragedy committed by non-white perpetrators could increase racist attitudes on campus, asking, “When will we start having moments of silence for all of the times white folks have done something terrible?”

Not to worry....If growing up works in the future as it as in the past, this girl will look back on this video in about 20 - 30 years, sigh, and say "when I was young and stupid, I was young and stupid". Unless, of course, she moves to Vermont, in which case all of what she said will continue to make sense to her.
