Re: Quarterback Capital of the World
Hmm, don't see any of them playing for Pittsburgh. Why is that? Doesn't bode well for the "TEAM" that they let that many locals play for someone else and win.

Don't see anyone from Boston playing QB for the Patriots, any NFL team for that matter; let alone in the Hall of Fame.Dr. NO wrote:Hmm, don't see any of them playing for Pittsburgh. Why is that? Doesn't bode well for the "TEAM" that they let that many locals play for someone else and win.

Unitas was the QB of the very first NFL team to ever lose to an AFL team in the SB (historic), Marino lost the only SB he was in and Kelly lost 4 Super Bowls in a row (also historic). So I suppose one could accurately say Pittsburgh is the Super Bowl LOSER QB Capital of the Universe.

Re: Quarterback Capital of the World
Actually, Unitas was hurt during the preseason and was not the starter in the Super Bowl loss to the Jets. Earl Morrall started every game that year instead, and started the Superbowl as well. It was, however, Unitas who came in some time during the second half and led the Colts to their only touchdown.Coydog wrote:Only Unitas, Kelly and Marino are from Pittsburgh proper.f.a.s.t. wrote:Yep, the Burgh again:

But Unitas played and did not win the game, thus initiating Pittsburgh's status as the LOSER SB QB Capital of the Universe.Bubba wrote:Actually, Unitas was hurt during the preseason and was not the starter in the Super Bowl loss to the Jets. Yea...........they all played really bad, even though they are all in the Hall of Fame. Pittsburgh and its Western PA suburbs are synonymous as far as where they are from: The Football (and QB) Capital of the Universe.

The Superbowl Capital of the Universe has Quarterbacks that have a combined six rings.................the MOST of any city. pretty sure what really sux is your desperately pathetic attempts to validate something no one here really gives two craps about, then clinging to that idiocy as if it somehow validates your existence...f.a.s.t. wrote:It must suck to write posts like you...............madhatter wrote:no doubt PA is the idiot capital of the world...
I hardly give a crap where anyone was born, went to college, played football, was a QB whatever... none of it has any bearing on my life... and while it appears to be the only thing you feel you got going in yours, you still got nothing...
