So you're in favor of democracy unless you don't like who gets elected. Then you're in favor of military coups. I get it now.

When Erdogan set out it was a democracy. Since then he has outlawed/imprisoned opposition groups and judges. He's also changed laws to give himself more and more power. Not to mention building himself a huge Saddam Hussein styled complex/palace. Kim Jong Un also has been elected does that make N. Korea a democracy :?:

About the same as the old USSR. You can, and MUST vote, but you can only vote for the Communist Party. Any deviation will place you on a watch list or have to arrested and moved to less pleasant accommodations.
