Another World Title for f.a.s.t.
I'm happy for my 90 year old parents who were both born in Lakewood too and wanted to see Cleveland win a championship. Fifty two years since the city had a title. They moved back to Ohio from PA just last year.

You must be very happy with all these recent championships. If it was me, I'd be happiest with The Stanley Cup, but you keep winning them in all the sports. Must feel great. I am jealous.f.a.s.t. wrote:Another World Title for f.a.s.t.

I might have you beat in number of lifetime championships though. Check out THIS list:
Stanley Cup Championships: 10
NFL Titles: 5
MLB Championships: 12
NBA Titles: 14
Do I have you beat in lifetime championships f.a.s.t.? (Titles during my lifetime, which started in 1964).
Re: NBA Finals
Highly inflated championship totals.
Neither of you have won a championship.
You two should get a private room.
Bill Russell looked great last night !
Could likely start for Knicks.

What a game, Lebron has cemented his legacy.

Do you need me to explain it to you?brownman wrote:Highly inflated championship totals.
All legit titles (by the "f.a.s.t. method of calculating championships).
Re: NBA Finals
Did you like how the Commissioner ignored Russell when HE presented the Bill Russell trophy to LeBron.brownman wrote:Highly inflated championship totals.

What a disrespectful move.

Re: NBA Finals
Thank you. No explanation required.
We know fictional representations are commonplace within slow/jr exchanges.
As to Russ, yeah he bolted the podium pretty quickly once dissed.
He and LeBron shared a private moment later. Sobbing was reported.
James' Block was reminiscent of a play Jordan made as a Tarheel.
... although MJ finished the play at the other end with a MegaDunk
Where will LeBron next bring a Championship?
Paulina Gretsky winning the US Open was some good viewing.

Your total is 41 titles. I have 31 in my lifetime since 1958:junior wrote:You must be very happy with all these recent championships. Cleveland Browns, 1 NFL title in 1964
Pirates, 3 MLB World Series titles
Steelers, 6 Super Bowl titles
Pens, 4 Stanley Cups
Cleveland Cavs, 1 NBA titles
Boston Celtics, 16 NBA titles
I admit I kind of jumped on the Cavs band wagon, but I do have legitimate reasons.
I include the Celtics, they have been my favorite team since I was about 5 years old. I remember watching them play the Milwaukee Bucks late at night and the Lakers. I also lived in Mass for a long time and went to quite a few Celtic games. I played basketball in high school and one year of college, I patterned my game after my favorite Celt of all time John-Hondo-Havilicek. He was a 6'5'' small forward and I was the meanest, badest, roughest, toughest and smartest 6'3'' small forward. Hondo was a motion machine and so was I; never stop moving from baseline to baseline; better shape than any player on the court-out running even the guards. Most of all, out smarting the bigger-slower-dumber big men. Hondo was born in a small Ohio town of miners and steel workers, 8 NBA titles and 13 time all star. After the Bird era I stopped watching the game as it took a turn for the worse. Today's teams would be no match for the great Celtic and Laker teams of yesterday, without question-they would blow these teams away. The NBA has gotten better in recent years but I can't take the time outs and TV commercial breaks. NBA is the worst in sports for time outs, the players hardly break into a sweat anymore.

Amazing how people group different teams together and call them "their" teams.f.a.s.t. wrote:Your total is 41 titles. I wasn't aware that the NY Rangers won 10 Stanley Cups.
Or that the Knicks won 14 championships.
That's the same kinda math Madoff used.

Yeah ... home turf Championship claims apparently have no protocol.
Pretty much any city or town qualifies for some
.. born in .. lived near .. slept in .. got a connecting flight thru .. read some article about ..
MY TEAMS have a couple hundred Championship titles.
