even though gordie played for the whale as an afterthought the howes were certainly part of the whale...at the game as a kid the brass bonanza was the greatest song ever

Made it to 88 years old. Think he played till he was 87.

What an amazing talent and amazing player in all aspects of the game, even the bad aspects.

Talk about a "whole" hockey player. Man, Gordie was the real deal.
