MS won the SL at the World Championships yesterday, her 12th win of the season. GS today was cancelled due to bad weather. Lindsey Vonn won the DH the other day, and finished in second place in the overall DH standings, out of 1st by only 3 points.

Just to add to what PJ posted, Mikaela's slalom win at the world cup finals was a blowout; she beat the field by over 1-1/2 seconds !!

:like Great to see her dominate and pick up a boatload of crystal this season :like

Too bad the American men's team has no game whatsoever.

And let's not forget Lindsey Vonn; she came in second in the Downhill cup standings, only 3 points behind Sofia Goggia of Italy.

The USA women kick ass. The USA men are non-existent anymore. Has anyone finished in the top 20 in a men's race this season? I think Bode can come out of retirement with no practice and a broken binding and still place much higher!

Snow is being blown on Superstar, the first woman's GS race is next Saturday in Solden, and Shiffrin is gearing up for more victories.

She made history both days winning the GS and Slalom.

With a sore back and only one day training [out of 9] as she came over a cold.

Didn't see the GS race [it is on CH 5 today] but enjoyed the close victory [Petra in second] in the Slalom race yesterday. Another nail biter.

You know you've hit the big time when a major US paper has a column
about you and skiing during a non-Olympic year.
