High clouds surrounded the peak as the FIS officials were inspecting lower Superstar. They gave the thumbs up as the Women's World Cup is on for Thanksgiving weekend. Arrived at the summit to watch as Killinton Ambassador Mark installed a new thermometer. Nice to see as stopping to read the summit temp is a morning ritual of mine. Our green coats are the best, Thanks Mark. Soft groomed snow on Rime was quickly pushed around by the morning swarm. Glow on the face of skier as he pulled up to the chair was a dead giveaway that he was having a great first day of the season. Slope population thinned out as student racers left to attend to their studies. Hit the Peak Lodge to celebrate our friend’s birthday.
