When she was 6, my daughter insisted that the answer to every question in the universe was "four", so it's "four" dammit. :D

What are you a Met fan? not that there's anything wrong with that, right Ty.

As long as Pedro does his job well and gets wins for my beloved Mets he will be welcomed. Nothing wrong at all with being a Mets fan. Not everybody in NY is a Yankee fan.

Strange...every time I think I have the correct change, they answer the question.

Nope. I'll wait for the DVD and watch it on Netflix before I even think about buying it. The reviews are very mixed. It looks like you need to be wasted on Pan-Galactic Gargle Blasters to sit though it. Too bad since the books are funny as hell.

Here are some of the bad ones from Rotten Tomatoes:

"Studiously harmless, Disney's long-in-development film rendition pasteurizes the book's renegade verve with typical means: special effects and gooey romance."
-- Jessica Winter, VILLAGE VOICE

"Although Hitchhiker starts out a total gas, it doesn't have enough fuel to sustain the ride, ultimately amounting to little more than some amusing gags strung together in search of a story."
-- Teresa Wiltz, WASHINGTON POST

"There are some inspired off-the-wall moments, but they are more than offset by a pervasive aura of tedium and the lack of any sense of the forward momentum necessary to sustain an adventure of this kind."
-- Kevin Thomas, LOS ANGELES TIMES

"Although clever and zany, the pacing is problematic."
-- Jeff Strickler, MINNEAPOLIS STAR TRIBUNE

"It's a mutant piece of entertainment that's bound to leave fans feeling betrayed and everyone else befuddled."
-- Lisa Rose, NEWARK STAR-LEDGER

I have not actually read teh book, but did listen to the radio show on NPR circa 1980. Forgot about the 42 reference.
