It's primarily going up because of the elimination of the state and local tax deduction (SALT). So I'm paying taxes on income that's already going to SALT.
caps the deduction for state and local property taxes at $10,000.
Caps for property tax, elimination of state and local income tax deductions.

ya gotta pay yer fair share....told ya from the get go not to expect a decrease in tax liability...but you can always lobby for your state and local taxes to be decreased...just need to cut some services....

looks like XJ will be happy then...less is more...esp when it comes to govt...

pretty funny seeing blue states elect republicans in an attempt to head off tax increases that every dem advocates for... even funnier watching their ( barely) useful idiot constituents clamor for higher taxes on the rich until they find out they are " the rich", then all of a sudden it doesn't seem so fair anymore...

good times...

I don't think it becomes law in its current form, but I'm okay with the tax increase if the corporate tax rate is adjusted to what's proposed.

MH - how do you define "rich"?

I don't...I'm not for "taxing the rich" or punishing those who do well...I'm not a big fan of the progressive tax system at all...

but rest assured the definition of "rich" and "fair share" will never be "tangible"...on the whole the threshold for rich will become lower as the amount required to constitute a fair share will go up...

as far as things being passed? unlikely that anything that does get passed (in regards to anything not just taxes) will amount to anything....no matter what virtually zero D's are on board and there's always enough dissent on the R side of the aisle to ensure 2-3 holdouts...that's the problem with trying to govern at the federal level, one size does not fit all...

The trend has also been leaning blue in NH this year as well. 8 of 10 special legislative elections have gone to the Ds including Wolfeboro for the first time since 1913. Manchester mayor's office went D over a four term Republican. Also the first time in history a female was elected to lead the state's largest city.

For certain, the Republicans still own a majority in the House and Senate, but the grip is slipping.

Is Trump fracturing the Republican party? Guess we will find out in 2018. For a country doing so well economically and things being relatively quiet on the war front, you would think he'd have a sky high approval rating.....

gee the D's won two deep blue states...shocking...the revolution is under way  ... they flipped the governorship of NJ to blue, unprecedented...you guys should definitely celebrate this monumental victory knowing all the pieces are in place for a massive 2018 sweep...

here's good reality check:

Hate Crime Hoax: Air Force Cadet Admits To Faking Racial Crime
A black Air Force cadet has admitted to writing racial slurs targeting blacks attempting to generate hate crime outrage.
gee no way? virtually everyone knows there is zero tolerance for any kind of bias like that in the military...it was obviously a hoax from day one...only a dumbfvck would imagine they could pull this off...
