[quote="brownman"]yeah .. and he whiffed 12 of 19 at bats.
But at least he whiffed swinging, which is more than Sox did against the Tribe.
Potentially strong rotation .. if they get Price worked out.
Atomic, better stick to football while your team is still hanging on.
Who in the majors can possibly fill the Ortiz void ?
Before Shaw left, Hanley looked like the best bet.

As a Red Sox and Giants fan it balances out the NY/Boston thing ! That being said I'm comfortable with how my Giants are progressing and with a couple moves will be right there ! As a matter of fact I'd be more concerned about your Gronkless Pats getting by Oakland or KC .
Hanley is still the best bet for DH unless they sign Encarcion and then Hanley stays at 1st. Whose playing 3rd for the
PawSox last season ? Just kidding, it's going to be Panda at 3rd...BARRING ANOTHER TRADE !
Sale was 7-0 with a 1.52 ERA (9 ER/53.1 IP), a 0.81 WHIP, and a .180 opponent batting average in seven starts against the AL East in 2016, including 5-0 with a 0.94 ERA (4 ER/38.1 IP) on the road. In 21 career appearances (15 starts) at Camden Yards, Yankee Stadium, Rogers Centre, and Tropicana Field, he has posted a 1.85 ERA (23 ER/111.2 IP) with 123 strikeouts, 31 walks, and only seven home runs allowed .
Impressive #'s where it counts on the road but what were his #'s at Fenway Park?
Got it..– For his career, Sale is 1-1 with a 3.63 ERA (nine earned runs over 22.1 innings) and 23 Ks at Fenway Park.
– An important stat to Red Sox fans: Sale is 4-1 with a 1.17 ERA in 10 career games (seven starts) against the Yankees.
Not great #'s in Fenway Park but then again it was against some of the best hitters presently playing the game today !
