I would much prefer a fluffy 8 - 12.

Some disagreement on where the snow line will be, but pendulum has swung back some. Check the Monday night elevation forecast:

Low around 23. Strong and damaging winds, with an east wind 47 to 52 mph increasing to 60 to 65 mph. Winds could gust as high as 80 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%.

There is HOPE and CHANGE a comin. Looking across the Otter Valley I can no longer see the mountains to the West due to SNOW. Temp dropped down to 30. Starting to fall, but as a r*in / sleet mix. Hopefully with elevation at K and Pico it can get stuck as SNOW. Can only hope that is so.

It was dryish and dense. Skied heavy. Lots of lift issues, K1 never ran, Skyeship was late, NRT opened about 1130, Snowdon Quad dormant since the triple was running. Superstar HSQ went down early afternoon for some tower issue. Very low turnout. Last run at 2:30 was micro sleet, but still frozen. Never r*ined, just freezing mist on your goggles. Vis was bad in fog, mist, and light precip.

Just above freezing at Moose Manor, not snowing, more like fine light melted micro sleet.

I got in the first cabin at skyeship at 900 on the dot at route 4 base. I didn't have to get out at mid station so despite the claim of a 930 start I can confirm that never happened. First 4-5 runs were amazing with a solid 5" in needles area. I think some places were harder to tell due to wind scour but there was at least the 5" reported in most parts. South ridge was nice but not worth a repeat being a pain to get to w out k1. I should say more of a pain then even usual, wish we had a lift there!

Was (pleasantly) surprised that basically none of fresh snow had been groomed (even Snowshed!) so there was fresh tracks to be had everywhere at first bell. While the K1 was shut down all day due to "wind", there was little wind most places. Visibility was the issue, as goggle coating continued all day. The nice dense snow stuck nicely to the firm base and conditions held up well right to the end. Just what was needed.
