windscour and sun damage still have lots of rocks exposed since there was little base left before stella...there is actually BARE ground at the top of old needles....that said the skiing is still VERY good...random1 wrote:I understand why they might list some of the trees (like all of Bear?!) closed, but Fiddle? I thought I saw a post from them on FB about being booked up full for the weekend w some quebec vacation week thing going on... can;t find it now...suffice it to say many will travel from far and wide to see 70" in person...lifts there are slow and have long lines just about every weekend...I like jay, but midweek in april....if crowds and lines don't bother you ( and many take it all as part of the skiing experience) then jay probably has the most snow as far as fresh and deep goes...temps s/b decent too...Stormchaser wrote:Close to Montreal. I don't doubt it. That previous Sunday as the snow started to really hammer down at lunchtime, was great. 12-4 that Sunday was my best skiing of the season. Exactly, no base but most lines are tracked so you should be able to notice the snow snakes?GSKI wrote:The warm spell killed off all the base with the exception of some on Julio and Anarchy since they face kind of northern and they are higher up on the mountain. All the other tree trails are very bony. Royal Flush held up ok for awhile since it has few rocks on it.
