Definitely a pawlonia aka empress tree. Invasive from China, supposedly very hard to kill.

Fastest growing tree.

I could kill it. Might take a few months. Cut a low stump, dig out the soil from the roots and dump coal in. :|

I'll tell my neighbor. He thought it was a sunflower at first. Let's see if he lets me chop it.

Good year in the garden. I brought back my old tomato patch. Played around with some bucket and container gardening up at my main house. I'm becoming a fan of raised beds. 100 quarts of sauce. I've given out 20. I started my plants in early March under grow lights. My Potatoes are cured and put away. Carrots are still growing. Beans frozen. Squash is ready for storage. Lettuce still producing. Garlic is drying and being sorted for a fall replant. Probably my best year for vegetable production. Basil was good. Parsley and oregano are still producing. My cow will be home in mid December all vacuum sealed. My half pig will be here in November. My Turkey is maturing nicely when I saw him on Friday. I really hate supermarkets.
