...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE THURSDAY NIGHT THROUGH
SATURDAY AFTERNOON...

The National Weather Service in Burlington has issued a Winter
Storm Watch, which is in effect from late Thursday night through
Saturday afternoon.

* Locations...Southern Vermont including Rutland, Windsor, and
eastern Addison Counties.

* Hazard Types...Heavy Wet Snow.

* Accumulations...6 to 10 inches of heavy dense snow.

* Maximum Snowfall Rate...Up to 1 inch per hour, mainly Friday
evening through midnight.

* Timing..Snow will begin during the early hours Friday morning
before mixing to r*in or snow below 1000 feet on Friday. Snow
will continue throughout Friday before tapering off Saturday
morning.

* Impacts...Heavy wet snow will accumulate on trees and power
lines which will lead to the potential for scattered power
outages across southern Vermont. Additionally, the heavy wet
snow will cause hazardous travel conditions on local roads.

* Winds...East 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

* Temperatures...Highs in the upper 30s on Friday with lows around
30 on Friday night.

we need all the help we can get. we're back to where we were before the 33". the heavier & stickier the better.

Whatever runs, wear your dark parka and don't sit middle.
They apparently changed grease suppliers.

"Ain't" that the truth. Had to wash the sidewinder this week after Saturday's grease bath. Worst on the Slowden triple :shock:

Friday

Snow, mainly after 9am. High near 26. Breezy, with a south wind 13 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 34 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.


Friday Night

Snow. Low around 24. Very windy, with a southeast wind 38 to 43 mph increasing to 45 to 50 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 60 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 5 to 9 inches possible.


Saturday

Snow, mainly before 2pm, then a chance of snow showers after 2pm. High near 30. Windy, with an east wind 27 to 37 mph becoming northeast 17 to 27 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Just got here. Supposed to drive to jay for the weekend tomorrow. Not sure if I should even go. Looks like more totals at the K.

RustyK - It will be colder at Jay so lighter soft pow so should be great in the glades. Killington will have heavy wet snow, slow lifts, lifts on wind hold, etc. GO NORTH, YOUNG MAN!

In fact, everyone reading this should go ski at Da Bush, POkey-Mo, Jay or Stowe on Saturday! Go git some gnar north or south!

The skiing at Killington will be terrrible, just awful, crap....! Stay away, youz all!!! :ani_smiles:
