Winter improvements?

Post by daytripper »

So if you are taking away the blackout passes and plan to make me pay more money this year, what do I get for it. Give me a new SRT, some interconnect lifts, stop the grease from falling on me when I ride the Snowdon quad. Maybe then I could accept the price increase. I don't want to here about snowmaking upgrades (those aren't improvements, that's just operating expenses) new mulch or roller coasters. Are you going to step up K? It would be great if Mike or Jeff would chime in here and tell us what if anything gonna be done this summer to significantly improve my winter experience.

Funny from where I'm standing it's a price decrease.

At the moment on the pass pole it is 48%-52% in favor of the blackout, seems about half the people will get an increase and half a decrease. Regardless, you don't think we need some winter improvements?

Course we do but no poll will make it happen.

Marching orders come from out West.

No one's going to go to Stow. It's going to be too crowded.

If the west came to Killington they would see how sad our lifts are. An investment in the infrastructure is past due.

I don't see anyone talking about this on this forum.
Or, did I miss something?
A new quad on Southridge being installed?!?!?!

You missed something, it has been discussed, certainly a lot locally and on the forum, this is great news, but doesn't start until next summer, not this summer. We do still need a bit more love for the resort which I believe will likely come when they make a push to sell pricey real estate.

FWIW: Does anyone recall that a K season pass used to b $1350 15 or 20 years ago?

I used to buy a bond pass from someone for $1150 back then.

For whatever reason it the dropped to $600 [very early purchase] and over time crept back up to what it was last year.

Relative to day pass prices you needed to use it about 23 days [full price days] to break even. Looks like thats down to <10 now.

Just sayin!

And for me I am saving net $150 this year and feel better that less people will beat the system with the blackout pass.

Now that that's said lets get that SR lift in there.
Goes to show, you don't never know

Don't you let that deal go down

And who cares that they have the "longest season in the east" WTF cares to ski your measly 10 trails? I certainly dont, and I dont think this is something to boast about when there are so much other things that need attention. Stop wasting money on making a giant glacier on superstar every year and actually INVEST in your sh*t...
