Just saying.
Yankee fans went into this season knowing they were in a rebuilding stage and didn't have high expectations for success. In fact, fourth place was a reasonable expectation. As a life long fan, I have been pleasantly surprised at how they've played. More kids come up next season so we're in a wait and see mode.

True that the Yanks are rebuilding but let's put all the cards on the table ! At the trade deadline the Yanks went out and got Sonny Grey, Todd Frazier, Tommy Kahnle , David Robertson and Garret Cooper just to name a few ! These deals have given the Yankees the HIGHEST Payroll in the American League and maybe the highest in all of baseball because they were just below the highest team the LA Dodgers and that was BEFORE the forementioned trades . So yes they're rebuilding and yes they're playing their kids but they also made some moves and spent some jingle to get where they are .

Watched that whole game.

Sanchez was the worst.

For a big guy he sure likes to sucker punch those lying on the ground being held down by other.

He should get at least 6 games but with a former EE manager in charge of discipline, don't count on it.

Looks like at LEAST a 10 game suspension ! Not only was he the initial perpetrator, but to run in and throw a shot to a guy who is down on the ground engaged with another opponent is as dirty , low classed and coward as they come !

Torre took care of his boys yet again.

Cut the suspension.

Made sure that both EE catchers would not be suspended at the same time.

Not the first time suspensions have been staggered. Cabrera, who started the whole thing, also had his suspension cut by a game as did the Tiger pitcher. Home plate umpire should've been suspended as well for dereliction of duty. He failed on all counts and allowed things to get out of hand.

Meanwhile, Red Sox nation is beginning to perspire wondering if the September swoon is underway. Losing three out of four in New York and getting beaten up at home tonight through 8+ innings.

I think there is a rule about suspending 2 catchers at the same time.

Was listening to R2C2 podcast (CC and Ruocco), they had on Didi and Hicks. . . The fight seems to have energized the team.

Actually, they're 5-5 since the WWF game ..
Yankee rebound has more to do with Holliday's return.

As for Sox Nation, with Thursday night approaching, Boston's focus moves to things other than a swing and a miss.

Once they get beyond their current slump, not seeing any AL team that will beat the Dodgers ..

Looks like the EE collars got a tad tight last night in Baltimore.

The Yankees’ complaint to Major League Baseball about the Red Sox included not just sign stealing by means of an Apple Watch, but also a reported claim that a pitcher was using an earpiece. The only problem with that particular accusation was that the supposed earpiece was actually just a mouthguard.

According to Comcast SportsNet’s Evan Drellich, the Yankees complained to MLB about what they thought was an illegal earpiece that Doug Fister was wearing during his Sept. 1 start in New York.

Actually, Fister had placed his mouthguard on his ear in between innings.
