Not a good idea to mention that subject anywhere near Sardelli.
It was my understanding that the "Sardelli Incident" happened where the upper portion of SS woods exits onto High Road, not on the the GIS/KMS cutoff

The point is ..
Even the best skiers can get pancaked.

Schlepping is easy if you wax properly. 8)

Unfortunately that route is not always available. It's my favorite way to get to the K1 side but I only ski it when there is enough snow to ski on it and don't ski it if it's icy.

It's never easy for snowboarders.

Good point . . There are a lot of schlepps . . . some are so much a part of a regular day at K that they go unnoticed . .

Bear lot in the springtime.
The Grand to Snowshed
Snowshed Crossover just north of Cruise Control
Anywhere in bay 5
Caper --> Lower Mouse --> to the Triple when the Quad isn't running
The entire length of the SRT circuit.

And of course the all time biggest, can't believe no one yet mentioned, most complained about, highest vertical schlep at Killington:

The Peak Stairway. aka Heavenly Reverse.

You know better than to advertise this one. This happens more than you think. For some reason they always get the triple running - even before the Canyon.

Try schlepping your gear down from the upper Snowshed lot, across the entire lower Snowshed lot, just to get to the window and leave them a few hundred dollar bills for day tickets. Then get in the long rentals line. Go upstairs and spend $50 for breakfast snacks for the herd.

Same from the back of Ram's Head lot. Those little plastic carts help only a little, especially if there are none available.

Multiply all of the above by the number of kids you are herding. Throw in some cold, wet or slippery weather for bonus points.

Yet those are the high dollar margin customers that POWDR values so highly, but can't seem to capture. I wonder why......

The on the hill schlep list is pretty accurate. To most of us, they are still something that we can deal with, quickly forget, and are overshadowed by a lot of great experiences. Those other customer schleps are NOT fondly remembered every time a decision is needed on where to go skiing. We will be back soon and often. When will those others be back? Only so much capacity at large in the future village, for only those with deep pockets. And if your pockets are deeper than most, you are not at Killington very much. Your lines are security checks at the airports out west or Europe. They don't hold much value in K-Mart skiing. A village will help a tiny percentage, but hurt the majority. We have some serious schleps forming in the future. Get ready.

On the brighter side - once a south ridge chair gets going, there will be some schleps back to reload from some nice snow.
