She's still touring, so I have to go with Chrissie Hynde..."Tattooed Love Boys" is a real rocker (but if you're familiar with The Pretenders history, she sings a cover of "The needle and the damage done" which is heartbreaking).

I preferred Suzi Q, saw her band back in the 70's or early 80's at U Lowell and the Rat or Paradise in Boston...but I liked her more on Happy Days (with Richie on the sax!).

Currently relevant, on the upswing and rocks big time.
You won't be short changed going to a Tedeschi-Trucks Band show.
Saw them at Essex County Fairgrounds in July with Hot f*** Tuna.
