Re: Irma
They'll likely be okay stormchaser. I think this is riding up the east coast, but there is a lot of time for that to change. I hope they don't take a direct hit.

Re: Irma
They've seen their share of storms, and don't generally evac. Lost part of the roof with significant interior water damage in Andrew. Lost the screened in lanai/pool area and most of the shingles from Wilma. Near miss from Charley. Rode em all out without casualty; hope this one goes as well. Donna and Betsy were before they moved down there...jimmywilson69 wrote:They'll likely be okay stormchaser. I think this is riding up the east coast, but there is a lot of time for that to change. Re: Irma
I'd try again to get them to move. If it doesn't swing to the right in time, could be looking at 15-20ft wall of water with 15-30ft waves on top of that. Think along the lines of the '35 Labor Day storm if it makes it to the Keys and west coast before turning.

There is never a valid reason for staying if they say it could be hazardous to your health.ME2VTSkier wrote:I'd try again to get them to move. This should recharge the everglades aquifer. Hope it only hits as a 2.

Re: Irma
They are already talking about it bending back to west as it reaches northern FL... The models can't figure out how the Jet Stream is going to make it play out evidently.
