Killington just announced K tickets. The unlimited ones are $69, and the midweek K tickets are $59. The announced cut off date to purchase is much earlier, you must buy them by October 12th.

But here's the real kicker:

K-Tickets offer almost 50% off lift tickets to The Beast of the East. Get the access you need with cash to spare, but hurry, K-Tickets are only available through October 12, 2017.

If you're paying $69 and saving "almost" 50%, that means the full boat walk up rate next year is $138ish dollars. Hello Vail Epic pass fallout.

Weekday rates imply a $118 walk up rate. Given last year walk up rates were the same as weekends, is $138 a holiday rate and the regular Saturday rate will be $118? Or will Killington give up the 7 day equal walk up pricing?

However this works out, walk up rates are going up. A lot.

Another change:

With the highest rate at $138, that only takes 6.5 days to break even on a early pass (before June 15) and 7.5 days to break even on current pricing (until Oct 12)

6.5 days is the lowest break even rate yet here in the East.

(As in prior years, after 7 K tickets you get one free.)

So $ 60 per ticket if you buy 7 - that's pretty good.

$ 138 - N*ing Way........

$69 - Save up to 40% compared to window rates

Midweek
$59 - Save up to 49% compared to window rates

So, that would put a ticket at about $115/day if it is the same price every day.

Just bought Epic Passes for the family.

If Killington does the early season "2 for 1" offer again (thru Ski mag-but it wasn't in the new issue unfortunately), maybe we'll meet at the ticket window! (I bailed out on getting a K pass this coming season also...I went with a Cannon pass)

Was a little surprised by the bump on the K-Tix. $60 in 2015-16 season. $63 2016-17 season now $69. (yes $60 if you order 7 tix.) Had I not already committed to the Max Pass (due to planned trip to Big Sky.....now cancelled ) I would have gone for the early pass. Oh well, we will see what 2018-19 brings forth!

Moose, The cut off date was Thur Oct 13 2016. I bough in at the last day of the promo last yr

Hillbangin, It's $69/day with the purchase of seven which really gives you eight, BEFORE the 7% tax. It works out to $64.60 per for the eight k-tickets. I mean you'll never find a liftopia killington lift ticket for under $65 peak season so it's still worth it imo

Some K. Early season will most likely just be me as my son is recovering from a broken leg and my wife is in school.

We didn't purchase K passes last year and enjoyed the flexibility of going to other mountains. That, combined with at least two western trips makes the K pass less attractive.

I guess I'm remembering the not so distant past when K tickets would be on sale into early December. And you're right that historically K tickets are about the best retail deal out there (but in advance and in bulk). Ski club rates are another good advance deal. My old ski club advance tickets (must be ordered by 1st week in October) are:

Ticket pricing after Nyberg...

Based on info I just got on Owners Express Cards, it looks like the walk-up price of adult tickets for 2017-2018 is $115 (same price for midweek and weekends).
